The Practitioners at Fairweather Acupuncture, West Kirby, Wirral

Jackie Fairweather
BSc (Hons); Lic Ac; MBAcC

Senior Acupuncturist

Jackie is a member and Regional Group Coordinator(RGC) of the British Acupuncture Council. She is a highly qualified and experienced licensed acupuncturist. Jackie has run her own acupuncture business with a large patient base in West Kirby, Wirral for over 16 years. She has successfully treated patients with issues and disorders including pain, discomfort, depression, stress, general wellbeing, and has a developed a personal interest in treating women's issues and issues relating to pregnancy, fertility and IVF. In 2009 he became a founding member of the Zita West Network for Reproductive Health as an affiliated acupuncturist. .

Jackie has always had an interest in health and wellbeing. She has an honours degree in Sports Science and Business Studies. Her early career as a personal trainer and fitness instructor was abruptly cut short when she sustained significant injury to her shoulder in a massive car crash. Constant pain day and night, and the inability to exercise was both physically and mentally frustrating for Jackie, and every medical path that she followed did nothing to lessen the suffering. Feeling that she had exhausted all of the main possibilities, Jackie finally turned to acupuncture in an attempt to try and ease some of her symptoms. She found a recommended acupuncturist and proceeded to receive treatment that would, over time significantly reduce her pain, increase her range of movement, and address the associated emotional issues which would allow her to finally return to the world of exercise.
With the success of this treatment and her renewed love of health and fitness, Jackie trained for three years to become a licensed acupuncturist and received her qualification in May 2002. Her intention is to “share the level of wellbeing that acupuncture can achieve, and to help people benefit from a healthier outlook on life”

Jackie continues to study regularly by attending courses and training programmes including courses related to Fertility and IVF, other traditional treatments such as KHT and Guasha, kinesiology taping, cupping, moxibustion and numerous other courses.
Jackie likes to spend her free time as a regular visitor to the gym. Despite her accident, she has completed marathons, half-marathons, triathlons, and enjoys the feeling that good exercise and nutrition offer her. She especially enjoys callisthenics and is currently working her way up the grading system.

Her biggest passion is her family and loves spending time with her children and her tiny dog Eric.

" Saying 'Thank you' doesn't seem enough for all that you have done for me over the past year. I am so grateful for the support you have given me and the effort you put in to get me back to where I needed to be."
